Evaluation Criteria
To gain The Stamp, the following ten criteria are taken into consideration:

- Energy Consumption
- Natural Resources Consumption
- Product Reuse and Recycling
- Environmental and Social Responsibility
- Product and Market Lifecycle Practices
- Quality of Design
- Quality of Craftsmanship
- Social Benefits and Proactive Practices
- Social and Personal Roots
Product and business evaluations are conducted by outside technical experts at recognized universities, national laboratories and other centers affiliated with the Institute. The evaluation process takes other standards, approvals, and accreditations obtained from third-party organizations into account as well, including ASTM, Green Seal, ISO, LEED, NSF and Oeko-Tex.
